If you are throwing an under the sea themed party, this DIY Whale Tail Piñata will look amazing on your table. Not only does this make a great focal point on your Under the Sea party table, it doubles as a great party game for all ages! This Free Waves Printable makes this DIY project even more simple for you to accomplish.
Start by removing all the "scales" from the Mermaid Sparkle Tail Pinata. Be sure to leave the silver foil part of the tail intact.
Fold several lengths of Jumbo Blue Paper Streamers. Cut about 3/4 the way up to create fringe.
Starting from the top of the tail, adhere rows of the streamers to the with hot glue. Overlapping the fringe as you go, cover the bottom part of the tail.
Next, print and cut out the Printable Waves Template.
Trace the pattern on to the blue Cardstock. You will need cut 3-4 to wrap around the tail. Glue the ends together to make one continuous wave.
Wrap the waves around the base of the tail and secure with hot glue.
Fill the pinata with your favorite candy or toys and display it in the center of your Under the Sea party table.
