Create a cute but not too scary piece of Halloween decor that kids are sure to love with this "EEK!" Halloween banner. Start by painting DIY wood banner squares in bright orange and purple. Add big black letter cutouts that really pop. Finish by accenting your banner with colorful spider details such as these pom-pom spiders and spider bendables. Paint four DIY wood banner squares with bright orange paint and two wood banner squares with purple paint. I used the paint from this acrylic craft paint set and a foam brush.
Spell "EEK!" using this package of black letter cutouts. Adhere each letter to the front of an orange painted wood banner with a small amount of hot glue on the back.
Assemble two spiders from the pom-pom spider craft kit. Use hot glue to provide an extra hold between the adhesive layers. Glue each spider to one of the purple painted wood banners.
Finish by threading black and white baker's twine through the holes at the top of each banner. Hang your banner on a mantel or wall.
