Halloween is right around the corner and we have a handful of awesome windsock crafts to get your yard dressed for the spooky occasion! The Frankenstein Windsock Craft is my absolute favorite and easy to create. You will need a few simple craft supplies including short jars, acrylic paint, googly eyes, black self-adhesive craft foam and black crepe paper steamers. Your kids will squeal with delight as they watch their ghostly windsocks dance in the moonlight.
Spray paint the short plastic jar with white primer paint. You will want an adult to do the primer. After the primer dries, paint 2-3 coats of green acrylic paint over the primer. Use glue dots to adhere the googly eyes to the jar. Cut small rectangles from the self-adhesive black foam to make the scare, mouth and nose.
Using a black Sharpie® marker or paint pen, draw the hair above the googly eyes.
Poke one hole on both sides of the plastic jar using the piercing tool. Insert one end of the black chenille stem into the hole and fold it up; repeat on the opposite side. Cut 5-6 strips of green crepe paper streamers and use glue dots to adhere on the inside of the jar. Hang your freakishly cool Frankenstein windsock for Halloween!
