Dress up your yard this fall with our Halloween Ghost Windsock Craft! This ghostly windsock will add a bit of spookiness to the trees as they sway in the wind. Create our ghost windsock using a few simple craft supplies including short plastic jars, black self-adhesive foam sheets, white streamers, and chenille stems. The jars are kid-friendly, easy to work with and perfect for making a Halloween windsock. Marvel at your creations this fall when you hang them high up into your trees!
Start by using a spray paint primer to prime the plastic jars. You will want an adult to apply the primer. You can choose to do a white coat of paint over the primer, however it isn't necessary if you use white. Set aside to dry. Cut out two eyes and a mouth for your ghost from the black self-adhesive foam sheets. Adhere the eyes and mouth to the plastic jar.
Using a sharp piercing tool, carefully pierce a hole in both sides of the plastic jar. Use a chenille stem to create the handle. Push one end of the chenille stem into the hole and fold it up to keep it from falling out. Repeat with the other end.
Cut 5-6 strips of white crepe paper streamers and use glue dots to attach the streamers onto the inside of the jar. Hang your ghostly windsock for Halloween yard decor!
