Making origami corner bookmarks are super easy and fun! Ella and Annie will show you step-by-step instructions for making our Jack-O-Lantern Halloween Corner Bookmark. Get creative and have your kids draw their own pumpkin faces, add googly eyes or felt for a textured bookmark. Make a traditional orange jack-o-lantern or use different colored construction paper to make a rainbow of jack-o-lantern corner bookmarks. Love these? Try making the bat, monster or Frankenstein bookmarks too!
Cut an orange piece of construction paper into a 6x6" square. Fold the square into a triangle. Take both corners of the triangle (on the fold) and fold them down towards the point.
Unfold the two sides of the triangle and take one layer of the point and fold it upwards.
Tuck both ends of the triangle under the point you just folded up. That is your corner bookmark!
Use a black marker to draw the jack-o-lantern eyes and nose. Take a piece of black construction paper and place into the corner bookmark; trim off the excess black construction paper. You should be left with a square.
Cut the bottom half of the black square into jack-o-lantern teeth. Glue the teeth into place using a glue stick.
