Our students are still completely obsessed with slime, so we knew it would be an instant hit as a favor at our recent Love Bug Class Valentine's Day Party. This ooey gooey pink concoction of glue, borax and water was filled with red glitter and heart confetti for an extra special Valentine's Day touch that the kids just loved!
Mix 2 tsp. of Borax into 2 cups of warm water and set aside.
Combine 16 oz. of Clear Glue with 4 Tbsp. of water.
Add 1-2 drops of pink food coloring into the glue mixture and stir with a natural wooden craft stick.
Add the Borax/water mixture to the pink glue mixture 1 tsp. at a time until you have reached the perfect slime consistency.
Add in some red glitter and heart confetti.
Fill a short jar with the slime and add 2 self-adhesive googly eyes to the front. Use a dot of Tacky Glue to stick a heart-shaped jewel nose on as well.
Cut a black chenille stem to approximately 4" and then form a U-shape. Adhere to the back of the jar with Tacky Glue to resemble the bug's antennae.
Either draw and cut out or use a heart paper punch to make two 2-inch paper hearts. Fold back the bottom points so they can be glued to the sides of the jar to make bug wings.
Lastly, use a Sharpie to draw a cute, little smile on your love bug's face and then hand out the slime favors at your Love Bug Class Valentine's Day Party!
