What could be cuter for a Halloween themed baby shower than pink mummies complete with bows and flower crowns? Pretty much nothing in my opinion! We transformed simple mini paper lanterns into a garland of the sweetest mummies for our Got It From My Mummy Baby Shower. Assemble the mini white hanging lanterns by carefully inserting the metal frame into the top center of each lantern and stretching the lantern fully open.

Cover your work surface and paint the lanterns to coordinate with the colors of your theme. I chose a pretty pinkish-coral hue to complement the colors in our Got It From My Mummy Baby Shower.

Once the paint on the lanterns has dried, wrap a pink party streamer around one of them a few times to determine the length you will need to create the mummies' wrapping. Once you have your desired length, cut the strips of streamers in half length-wise so they are more manageable for wrapping.

Next, begin wrapping the streamers around each of your lanterns, adhering both ends to the lantern using GlueDots®. Wrap the streamers and cross over each layer on an angle gives the effect of the mummy becoming slightly coming unraveled.

New mummies are perpetually sleepy, so we gave our mummies cute sleepy eyelashes as opposed to wide-open eyes. Either trace and cut the eyelashes out of charcoal grey vinyl using the free printable eyelashes found here, or if you have a cutting machine, you can find the cut file here.

Now create a few bows to adorn the heads of half your newly created mummies. Download the free printable template here, then trace and cut the larger curved bow shape onto pink paper, and the smaller piece onto gold glitter paper. To create the bow shape, fold the two outer flaps of the pink paper to the center and add a dab of hot glue to keep them in place. Next, turn the pink bow over and hot glue it to the center of the gold piece. Finally, hot glue the newly formed bow to the top of the mummies.

Using the flower template on the free printable template found here, trace and cut three flowers out of white streamers per mummy for the remaining half of mummies that didn't receive a bow in the previous step. Add a white pearl bead to the center of each flower and cut small leaves from green paper, adhering both to the flower using hot glue. Finish by hot gluing three flowers to the top of each mummy.

To hang your new mummies, measure a length of gold baker's twine to stretch from each end of your dessert table, then wind it through the top holes of each mummy.

Finally, hang your new garland to wrap up the decor at your Got It From My Mummy Baby Shower!
