Setting a gorgeous table for your Halloween themed baby shower has never been easier. Start with a table runner of realistic faux eucalyptus to soften the look. Next, layer in various sizes of pumpkins, candles and beautiful blush vases with flowers. Pretty soon your table will be a stunning showstopper. Add in fun and modern "deconstructed mummy" placemats to finish the look.
Begin by painting two DIY ceramic pumpkins and two sets of DIY decorative pumpkins in shades of light pink, coral and charcoal grey. Paint the stems of the grey and coral pumpkins green and the light pink pumpkin stems gold.
Dress up the coral pumpkins with blooms from white and a pink hydrangea garlands. Arrange them across the front of the pumpkins, adhering them to the pumpkins using GlueDots®.
Add a bit of gold splatter paint to the light pink pumpkins by firmly pressing the tip of a gold paint marker down and shaking it over the pumpkin. Be sure to cover your workspace for this step, as the paint will shake out all over. Once the paint has dried, top off the pumpkins with a ring of faux floral greenery and faux eucalyptus. To adhere the greenery, attach a ring of GlueDots® around the top of the pumpkins and press the ends of the greenery into them.
Turn the grey pumpkins into "deconstructed" mummies by cutting long strips of light pink streamers in half and then wrapping them randomly around the pumpkins. Secure the ends of the streamers to the pumpkins using hot glue.
Next, turn DIY slat signs into placemats. Begin by painting them a solid charcoal grey color, then follow step 3 above to add gold splatter paint to them. Once the gold paint has dried, tape off sections of the sign, crossing over them at random angles to give them the effect of a mummy's wrapping coming undone. Paint over the whole sign with a light pink paint. Remove the tape while the paint is still slightly wet and set the signs aside to dry.
Start layering your table with other various decorative items. First, remove sections of leaves from a silver dollar eucalyptus garland and lay them down the center of your table to create a runner. Next, place a gold three-arm candelabra in the center of the table.
Now add the embellished DIY ceramic pumpkins and DIY pumpkin set to the table, starting with the medium sized grey pumpkins at each end, then working your way to the middle.
Next, fill two small blush vases with blush floral bouquets and add them to the table to break up the line of pumpkins a bit.
Add a bit of glam to the table by mixing in two sets of gold glitter pumpkin votives.
For the place setting, place a deconstructed mummy placemat at each seat, then layer a blush polka dot dessert plate atop a coral scalloped dinner plate. Finish off the place settings with a blush polka dot napkin, gold foil cup, pink polka dot paper straw and premium gold cutlery forks with their ends painted charcoal grey.
Now that your party table is set, prepare to greet your guests and receive oodles of compliments!
