Create a one-of-a-kind nautical buoy garland with a patriotic flair using bottle corks. This red, white and blue garland will look great hanging from a desert table or weaving in and out of a patriotic centerpiece at a special Fourth of July party.
Paint a base coat of white paint on the cork.
Use a small paint brush to paint a red stripe along the bottom of the cork.
Continue painting stripes on the cork alternating colors and patterns.
Use the nautical red, white and blue washi tape and wrap it around a few of the corks to create a colorful buoy.
Use a drill and carefully drill a hole through the top of the cork, all the way through. Thread the jute twine through a thick needle and string each cork onto the twine.
Continue stringing the buoys on the twine, tying a large knot every so often.
