Cupcakes are always a favorite wedding treat and we love when we can take our wedding theme and apply it to our delightful deserts. That is how we created our DIY Succulent Cupcake Display for our recent Succulent Wedding. We took delicious, hand-decorated cupcakes and then found a unique way to showcase them using a few inexpensive supplies all while keeping an element of elegance and glamour in this simple and stylish DIY project.
Begin by adding a coat of gold metallic spray paint to your Cupcake Pedestals. Allow to dry.
Cut the outer edge of a few Porcelain Paper Doilies and then tape the ends together to form a homemade cupcake wrapper.
Arrange the decorated, cupcake-filled pedestals on a table or bar cart. We centered a White and Gold Foil Gift Box on the top-level of our bar car to add a bit of height to our cupcake display. We also added in some White Taper Candles in gold-painted Candle Holders and a Gold Geometric Open Top Terrarium filled with Moss and Gold Foil succulents.
Adding in some more thematic decor will really help bring your DIY Succulent Cupcake Display to life. We placed two Square Faux Succulent Centerpieces on the lower level of our display surrounded by a Small Round Glass Vase with , another succulent-filled Gold Geometric Terrarium and a few White Rose Votive Candles. All of these small pieces of decor, along with the simple DIY elements made our Succulent Cupcake Display a chic and successful piece of decor.
