So you've chosen what favor you'd like to send home with your guests after your special day, but you're not quite sure how to pretty it up into a chic, little package. Don't worry we've got you covered! For our recent Monet Inspired Wedding we decorated white favor boxes to mimic the painting style of this iconic painter and added elegant gold foil details for a modern touch. Follow these few simple steps to find out how you can create your own!
Assemble the white favor box and then using a small paintbrush, combine a bit of green and blue paint from the tropical acrylic paint set. Dab the paint onto all sides of the favor box.
Clean your paintbrush and then dip it into the light blue acrylic paint. Using light, wispy strokes, add it sparingly to the box. Repeat this step with darker green acrylic paint and white paint. The light blue, green and white will give a lovely watery effect, especially when mixed with the half wet paint from step 1. Allow to dry for 1 minute.
Using the thinnest brush from the Plaid Paintbrush Pack, add hints of purple paint to the box. Allow to dry completely.
Use a paintbrush to add small amounts of Mod Podge onto the box and then cover with small pieces of gold foil sheets. Once dry, use a clean paintbrush to brush away an excess gold foil.
Place a DIY favor box atop each place setting for all of your guests to enjoy!
