I'm loving the marbled trend lately, and since I needed some ornaments for my Black and White Modern Farmhouse Party, I decided to make my own DIY marbled ornaments. I love how they added a bit of glam to my party. And the best part is, they're super simple to make!

Remove the silver metal tops of the small DIY terrarium ornaments and tape off the bottoms, then fill the inside with paper towels or newspaper. This will keep the spray paint from getting inside. In a well-ventilated area, spray paint the plastic terrarium ornaments and the DIY clear glass round ornaments in solid colors of white, black and gold. Spray paint all the metal tops gold.

Let the ornaments dry thoroughly, then remove the tape and paper towels from the plastic terrarium ornaments. Now it's time to marble them.

Begin by filling a small disposable dish about half full of water. Add a few drops of nail polish, starting with the black first. You can layer the white on top for the gold ornaments. Using a toothpick or Bamboo skewer, swirl the nail polish around in the bowl.

Now comes the fun part! Slowly and carefully dip your ornament into the water and pull it out. As you pull it out the swirled nail polish will transfer onto the ornament. I only dipped the tops and bottoms of my ornaments, but coating the entire ornament would be just as pretty!

Set the ornaments aside to dry. If you notice any bubbles in the nail polish, gently smooth them out with your finger once fully dry.

Fill the inside of the plastic terrarium ornaments with craft snow, and a sprig of either real or faux greenery.

Lastly, hang your beautiful new ornaments! I added some to the ends of my ribbon table runner, and tied the rest to a thin tree branch, which was hung with thick ribbon between my light sconces for my Black and White Modern Farmhouse Christmas Party.
