One of the easiest ways to dress up your holiday table is by adding a little something to the backs of your chairs. Hanging these DIY Boxwood Wreath Chair Backers are a simple, yet festive way to transform the look of an entire room. Follow the easy peasy steps below to create your own!
Measure an 18" length of the boxwood garland and cut with wire cutters. I cut the end closer to a cluster of leaves so that there was a bit of wire left longer on one end.
Bend the longer end of wire on your cut pieces to form a u-shape, then form a circle and hook the wire onto the other side to blend in with the clusters of leaves. Squeeze the wire tightly so it closes and doesn't pull loose.
Pour a bit of white acrylic paint onto a paper plate and dip the ends of the natural pinecones into the paint just so the outer edges are covered, as if dusted by snow.
While the paint is drying on your pinecones, add a ribbon bow to the top of your wreaths where you attached the two ends. This not only looks pretty, but will also help secure the ends together.
After the paint has dried on the pinecones, add them to the underside of the bow with a dab of hot glue.
Once your wreaths are all completed, hang them on the backs of the chairs around your table. I used small plastic hooks to hang mine, but if your chair is open at the top you can hang with a bit of ribbon tied around the chair.
