Serve up Southwest style with this set of colorful geometric-patterned chargers and hexagon-shaped napkin rings.
Mix and match traditional details, like wood and leather, with glam elements like metallic copper for a modern spin on Southwest style. Add an extra "something" by wrapping each napkin ring in leather string and adding colorful tassels. Using hexagon-shaped plates to emphasize the geometric elements.
Follow these simple steps to personalize your own unique and affordable Santa Fe inspired charger and napkin ring sets.
First, paint DIY Unfinished Wood Signswhite.
Tip: Consider filling the 2 small holes with putty before painting
Next, use painters tape to create a cross through the middle of the sign. Then add an additional piece of tape to each side of this tape. Leave a tape sized gap between the original and new strips of tape.
Next, add an extra piece of tape along the edges of the corner segments i.e. make the tape double wide in these sections. Then using a craft knife cut out the pieces of tape that overlap to create unbroken white stripes. Or alternatively, leave these in to create a unique geometric pattern.
Next, paint the white spaces. Follow my color pattern or create your own unique color combination.
Next, using pliers, remove the earring hook off Fiesta Tassel Earrings. Leave only the small gold hoop attached to the tassel.
Thread Teal Faux Leather Cording through the gold hoop. Then tie the leather and tassel around the center of a Wooden Napkin Ring.
Tie at the back and cut off any excess leather.
Fold your napkin in half and half again to create a square. Then turn it over and fold the halves inwards to the center creating an airplane shape.
Pull the smallest end through the napkin to create the look above.
Finally, place the charger on the table. Top with a Rose Gold Metallic Hexagonal Dinner Plate and add the napkin ring.
