Bring the spirit of the Southwest into your wedding. Inspired by New Mexico's vivid and colorful geometric-patterned rugs and textiles, this stunning DIY backdrop can be customized to fit your weddings color palette. I created an eclectic and totally unique wedding space with this large scale backdrop and couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out.

Follow these simple steps to find out how to create one of your own.

First set up your DIY Photo Booth Backdrop Board according to provided instructions. Next download the backdrop template here, print and cut it out. Note: Make sure to cut out the diamond shape in the center of the shape. Then use this cut out as a pattern. Trace it onto sheets from the American Crafts Jewel tones Cardstock Variety Pack (in the colors of your palette). Tip: I used 8 blue, 6 coral and 4 teal for my backdrop pattern.

Next, create the metallic copper parts of the design using Rose Gold Metallic Hexagonal Dinner Plates. Cut off and use the edges of the plates. Trim the edges to ensure the shape is flat. For smaller pieces, cut these sections into halves or into 4 equal parts.

Finally, add poufs, throw pillows and other southwestern style accents around the bottom of the backdrop. This creates either a comfortable lounging area or seating for a photo booth.
