Table decor for Thanksgiving can be tricky. Well, here's a solution! This DIY Thanksgiving Centerpiece is easy to make and will provide fall color and a gorgeous warm glow during your meal. Plus, the DIY Flower Box Centerpiece is lower than traditional vases so you'll be able to talk to your guests across the table! You can customize this centerpiece by adding your favorite fall accents such as leaves, mini pumpkins and gourds.
Paint a DIY Flower Box Centerpiece with brown acrylic craft paint and a foam brush. Let dry and add a second coat if needed.
Start by adding filler to the inside of the wood box to help prop up the accents you'll be displaying on top. I used polyester batting and covered it with a layer of burlap.
Lay a strand of battery operated LED string lights over the top of the burlap.
Add two fall harvest swags on top of the burlap. Work some of the LED lights around the leaves to make them more visible.
Add a variety of small pumpkins on top of the swags such as these gold dipped pumpkins and these paper raffia pumpkins.
Paint a medium galvanized metal "blessed" sign with white acrylic craft paint. Let dry and add to the front of the centerpiece with hot glue.
Display your centerpiece in the middle of your Thanksgiving table! Add some faux fall leaves around the base if you'd like. Don't miss the rest of the details of our Thankful and Blessed Thanksgiving Table including DIY Cornucopia Place Cards and a Fall Cornhusk Wreath.
