Creating your own chair backers for an event is a fabulous way to add a personalized detail that captures the theme and essence of your wedding; and our DIY Chair Backers for our French Inspired Wedding do just that! Begin by gluing 4 DIY Unfinished Wood Slats together, creating the base of your chair backer. Allow to dry.
Add a coat of White Acrylic Paint to the boards. Once dry, add a drop of Black Acrylic Paint to the White Paint to make a gray color. Add a few strokes of gray paint, giving the board a more rustic look.
Print and trim our free Madame and Monsieur Template. Turn the template over and shade it in with a lead pencil. Turn the template back over and tape it centered on the board. Use a pencil and trace the lettering of the word. Once done, remove the template and you'll see the word outlined in pencil on your board.
Use a Black Sharpie and retrace the word.
Next, use a hand drill and drill 1/4" hole in the right and left top corners of the board. String a piece of Anique White Ribbon through the holes and tie at either end creating a loop to hang the chair backer by.
Lastly, Hot Glue a few sprigs from the Silver Dollar Eucalyptus Garland, Boxwood Garland and Frosted Greenery Stems to the top of the chair backer for a lovely detail. Your chair backer is now ready to display at your French Chateau Inspired Wedding!
