Everyone knows Mary Poppins loves a spoonful of sugar and we wanted to use that very concept to create a uniquely delicious and creative treat for our Mary Poppins Baby Shower! This dessert is so easy to assemble and you can dress it up by getting crafty in the kitchen to make your sweets really stand out on the table! Follow our simple craft tutorial and recipe below to enjoy this adorable treat! Be sure to download the free kite printable here to decorate your boxes!
Start by layering two striped popcorn boxes inside one another. This creates a cute double scallop at the top of the box and adds a bit of stability as well.
Download and print out the kite printable. Cut out a black kite silhouette out of scrapbook paper and adhere it the front of the striped popcorn box with a couple dots of hot glue.
Now it's time to start decorating the miniature spoon cupcake toppers! Start by adding a small red bow to the base of the spoon.
Prepare to add the chocolate to the topper. Start by adding a teaspoon of vanilla extra to white chocolate chips.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave in thirty second increments, stirring in-between.
Gather up your store-bought cupcakes and insert the chocolate dipped spoons as a delicious and adorable topper.
Fill the decorated popcorn boxes with blue shimmer sixlets and top with the cupcakes.
Display your delicious Mary Poppins themed sweet treats at your Mary Poppins Baby Shower and enjoy! Be sure to see how you can make your own Mary Poppins DIY Centerpiece as well as a Mary Poppins Themed Backdrop.
